No, you should look in the host. It’s been a perennial pain trying to get VirtualBox to properly recognize integrated Broadcom Smart Card readers on Dell laptops in my case using an Ubuntu It worked though, but in some situations it would remove the GUI prompt for the password, so in those instances you would just have to know that it wanted the fingerprint.

Still the same problem! Skylake is the problem, existing drivers no longer work with the new chipset.
