They do, however, show a single controller in evaperf which is what I would have expected. Posted August 14, When I run evaperf hc, even my windows hosts are connected to one controller but not both.
How do you have the preferred path set in Command View? You will be able to leave a comment after signing in. Posted August 15, I assume you have the correct multipath configuration file in place for that particular device.
My physical Windows servers are showing as using both controllers even though the path preferences are set to prefer a path. But are the LUNs distributed between the assigned controllers? Sign In feature is currently unavailable and you will not be able to post new content.
[ubuntu] HP EVA + multipathing
There are two instances of each LUN. I checked two different resource pools and both are using a single controller.

Upvote if you also have this question or find it interesting. Also, what are you running in evaperf to figure out which controller s your hosts are using? For a windows server we can see both controllers being used for the LUN presented to that server using EVA monitoring tools.

Linux SAN Multi path for HP EVA Storage
A LUN will connect to just a single controller in a properly-working multipath configuration, but if you have multiple LUNs and two active controllers, they should be distributed between them. The multipath -ll from this pool is very different, but to me looks like each path is given equal priority. When running multipath -ll, I can see the two controllers and all 8 paths but on all the LUNs only one controller is doing all the work: I am seeing the same thing with the EVA perfmon counters.
We are working on a fix. I have another XEN Pool running v5.
