I am using HP Pavilion G6 bp. I had a dvus with the amd Turion processor and nVidia chipset. When this problem first started, I went to uninstall and then reinstall the wireless driver, but when I uninstalled the only driver under network adapters, I couldn’t reconnect to the internet at all, even with an Ethernet cord.

HP Pavilion Dv9500 Wireless WiFi Card 441075-002
I am tired of all this now. Removed the Atheros card, installed the Broadcom card, and I was off and running with dual band wifi. Then you could look up the product number of the notebook in the HP parts surfer website and see the actual wifi card part number that was installed in that product number. Right click on the command prompt icon and chose Run as administrator. Thank you for your reply; however, I already looked that manual over though I checked it again in response to your kind message.
But the info you are looking for doesn’t readily exist. Where I could go to look those things up myself? I don’t care how good the screen is or how convenient the remote control express card is, it’s just not worth it.
