Then copied that exe file to the other computer, and ran it. I have other more powerful stuff that I run through them.

Just thought I’d post my experience. I would say your adapter or usb slot is bad. ANd I’ve tried running the adapter limksys nothing else plugged in.
As far as I remember – uninstall your linksys drivers and remove the rtusb. Even though it is by Ralink, it will still work for the Linksys hardware. Set the ip, subnet, etc back to auto get or defaults. This worked for me: So could not update nothing. I am guessing that one of the latest Windows XP updates doesn’t like the way lknksys year driver runs.
